or, A Few Things You Should Know About Emily’s Notebook

  1. It’s the brainchild of me! Emily! Specifically, Emily Huffman, MFA in Writing (VCFA 2015), military spouse, frazzled mom of three. Born in Indiana, raised Mennonite, converted to Eastern Orthodox Christianity in…2014? Those are the most basic of basics about me. Oh, and you can find me over at Medium for more parenting-type stuff.
  2. I tend to start a lot of blogs. And then abandon them. You know how it goes. That said, I’m hoping to sustain this one, because I’m mostly just doing it for myself, and anyone else who may find my random content interesting.
  3. There is no rhyme or reason here. All the online bloggers making a killing telling other wannabe bloggers how to monetize their blogs say that you neeeeed a niche to find an audience and make money. Guess what? I don’t care. Mostly I want a place to organize all my random thoughts/loves/rants/whatever. An online notebook, of sorts. This is that.
  4. New posts every Tuesday and Thursday. Probably. Depending on how well the kids have been sleeping.
